Calling the Biker's Bluff (Dogs of Fire MC: Savannah Chapter Book 7) Page 15
I squeezed him tighter and he lowered his visor and started the bike, then we were off. For the first few minutes, I just held onto him, squeezing my eyes shut and trying not to fall off. But as he opened the bike up and the road got smoother, I found myself relaxing.
In fact, I was totally enjoying myself, so by the time Otter pulled the bike to a stop, I was actually disappointed.
He raised his visor and craned his neck to look at me. “You doin’ okay?”
I nodded, and he grinned.
“Go ahead and climb off. Watch the pipes, they’re hot.”
I put my hands on his shoulders, stepped on the left peg, and threw my leg over, jumping down much like I got off a horse. Otter then climbed off, removing his helmet, and setting it on the seat before helping me with mine. “What did you think?”
“I plead the fifth.”
He dropped his head back and laughed. “You loved it!”
I wrinkled my nose. “Let’s not go that far.”
He leaned down and kissed me. “Thank you for doing that with me.”
I slid my hands up his chest. “How are you doing?”
“Better now,” he said, sliding his hands to my butt.
“I’m leaving you to your thoughts, honey, but if you want me to draw them out of you, or I feel your silence isn’t healthy, I’ll hound you until you talk.”
He smiled, giving me a gentle squeeze. “This… this is helping, baby. The ride, you, the fact I got two good hours with my mom. It’s all helping.”
I ran my finger over his pulse. “I’m glad.”
“I want you to marry me, Shiloh.”
“What?” I squeaked.
“Marry me,” he repeated.
“Honey, it’s too soon.”
“Why?”
I sighed. “My grandma always said you should know someone for a full year, through all the seasons, to see if you’re compatible.”
“You knew Darci for a hell of a lot longer than that and look what happened.”
I bit my lip. He had a point. “I just want to know that you’re not going to leave me.”
“I’m not gonna leave you, baby. That’s why I want to make the commitment.” He cupped my face. “We’ll sign shit to protect the assets we’ve got. You’ll be protected, Loh, swear to Christ.”
“You swear to Christ a lot,” I pointed out. “You don’t have to, honey. I believe you when you say it without making such a dramatic statement.”
He grinned. “Dramatic?”
“So dramatic.” I stood taller, on my tiptoes, to kiss his pulse. “You’re a regular drama king.”
He chuckled, leaning down, and lifting me so I could wrap my legs around his waist. This put me slightly above him and he grinned up at me. “I’m gonna show you drama, baby,” he said, setting me back on my feet. “Come with me.”
He grabbed something out of his saddlebags, then took my hand and led me away from the bike. We walked down toward a creek that had water running quietly parallel with the barn and it seemed to go on forever. “Does this ever flood?”
“Nope,” Otter said, releasing my hand and unrolling a blanket over the grassy bank while I took off my jacket. “Records indicate it was the main water source for most of the county before the area was developed.”
“How did you guys get this land?” I asked, sitting on the blanket while Otter shrugged out of his jacket before stretching out beside me.
“It’s Doc’s family land. On his mother’s side. They’ve had it for generations and when she died, she willed it to Doc, although, he’d been living here for a while before that.”
“It’s gorgeous.”
“Yeah, it is.” He wrapped an arm around my waist and tugged me onto my back, hovering over me. “But not as gorgeous as you.”
I reached up and ran my fingers through his beard. “I could say the same about you.”
“Yeah?” he asked, sliding a hand under my T-shirt and cupping my breast.
“Yeah.” I licked my lips and arched into his touch.
He leaned down to kiss me gently, moving his mouth to my neck as he tugged my bra cups down and rolled a nipple between his fingers.
“Easy?”
“Yeah, baby?”
“What are you doing?”
He met my eyes with a cheeky grin. “I’m gonna fuck you on Dogs’ land.”
“We’re outside.”
“No one’s around,” he said.
“What if someone comes?”
“I’ll hear them,” he assured me, pushing my shirt up, bra and all.
My tatas were exposed to the slight breeze and my nipples hardened into stone. Otter drew one into his mouth, biting down gently and I felt desire flood my body. He pressed his mouth to my belly, unzipping my jeans and tugging them down my body, finding his way blocked by my boots, so he removed those, and quickly divested me of the rest of my clothes.
“I want you naked,” I demanded, and he undressed in record time, moving over me, and grinning as he leaned down and kissed me.
“I love you,” he whispered, running his mouth down my body, tonguing my clit before gently sucking it.
“Love you, too.” I wove my fingers into his hair and slid my legs over his shoulders.
I gripped his scalp as he worked my pussy with his mouth and he pressed his tongue to my clit, then slid it inside of me as I dug my heels into his back. “Easy,” I rasped as a climax built. He slipped two fingers inside of me, sucking harder on my clit and I arched into his mouth as I came. Hard.
He raised his head from between my legs and I saw my cum on his beard, feeling the heat crawl up my face as he moved up my body. “Why are you red, baby?”
“Why do you think?”
He grinned, his cock pressing against my entrance. “I’m gonna need you to scream louder next time you come, Loh.”
“Not sure I have a whole lot of control over that, Easy.”
He thrust into me and I whimpered as I lifted my hips to get closer. His face went to my neck and he bit my pulse gently, slamming into me as he linked our fingers together and dragged my arms above my head.
I wrapped my legs around his waist and lifted my hips, meeting him with every thrust. “Harder,” I begged, and Otter buried himself deeper and deeper, harder and harder until I was no longer fully sure I had any control. “Get there, honey.”
He slammed into me twice more and I exploded, screaming his name, and he let out a feral grunt as his dick pulsed inside of me, and he released my hands. “Swear to Chri—gonna marry you, Shiloh Abernathy.”
“Yeah, you might just make that happen,” I conceded, rolling with him keeping our connection as we faced each other.
He stroked my cheek. “You make me feel safe, Loh.”
“Wow,” I breathed out. “Really?”
“Yeah.”
“You make me feel safe, too,” I whispered, tugging gently on his beard. “Is that enough to make a marriage work?”
“We love each other. We’re willin’ to talk our shit out, so I think we’re ahead of the curve.”
“Maybe so.”
“Let’s try it. You want to find a house you can afford, we’ll live together for a while and go from there.”
“I’ll think about it,” I said, sitting up. “Where are you going?”
“Into the water.” He held his hand out to me, buck naked and completely unashamed. “Come on. It’s cold, but it’s clean.”
“What if someone comes?”
“Baby, no one’s around. Come on.”
I stood and made a run for the water hoping no one was watching. Otter wrapped an arm around me and held me tight as we gingerly inched into the water. I got waist high and couldn’t handle the cold, rushing out again, and making my way back to the blanket.
“There’s a towel next to my jeans,” Otter called, and I found it, drying off before pulling on my clothes again.
Otter took a few more minutes in the water before joining me.
“How is it
you have no shrinkage?” I murmured as his wet and naked self walked toward me.
He chuckled, snagging the towel I’d just used, dragging it down his face. “Lucky, I guess.”
“I’m pretty sure I’m the lucky one.”
He grinned, kissing me quickly, then dressing and rolling up the towel inside the blanket. “Ready to go?”
I nodded, taking his hand. “Thanks, honey.”
“You’re welcome.” He kissed me again and we headed back to the barn.
Shiloh
“BABE, GET YOUR butt in gear, we’re gonna be late,” Otter called.
I peeked out of the bathroom and raised an eyebrow. “I’m ready.”
“Yeah?” he challenged. “You’re not wearin’ pants.”
“I’m basically ready,” I corrected. “Just have to put my jeans on.”
“And your boots.”
“And my boots.” I waved my hands. “The longer you stand here and tell me what I have to do, the longer it’s gonna take. I still have to feed Sneezles as well.”
“The cat’s been fed, his litter’s been changed, and Ethan’s going to hang with him today.”
“Is Brooke here?” I asked in surprise, pulling on my jeans.
Brooke was currently in a club strike, refusing to be in the ‘presence of assholes who didn’t protect my man.’
“Caspar’s here for a few hours and Ethan asked if he could play with the cat.”
I sat on the edge of the bed and zipped up my boots. “He knows not to let him out, right?”
“I gave him a run-down of what needed to happen, yes,” Otter said. “There’s a room we’re using as a movie room for the kids with an attached bathroom, so I put a litter box in there, along with a bowl for water. Ethan’s going to hang in there with Sneezles until we get back.”
I stood and gripped his cut. “So, what you’re telling me is that you’ve organized my life down to the minute today and now it’s time to go find a house.”
He grinned, leaning down to kiss me. “She finally gets it.”
I tugged on his beard. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
We headed downstairs where Ethan appeared to be waiting for the go ahead to hang with Sneezles.
“Hi, Miss Shiloh. I promise I’ll take care of Sneezles.”
I smiled. “I’m sure you will.”
“He’s in the movie room, bud,” Otter said. “Go have fun.”
Ethan didn’t have to be told twice, thanking us and making a run for the movie room. Otter held his hand out, so I handed him my keys and we headed to my car.
“I can drive, Easy,” I pointed out as we headed out of the compound gates.
“We could also take my bike, but until you’re willing to go out on the street at my back, I’m drivin’.”
I wrinkled my nose. “What does one have to do with the other?”
He sighed. “Let me have this, Loh.”
“Let you have your control freak way?”
He smirked, linking his fingers with mine. “Yeah.”
“I can give you that.”
He lifted my hand to his lips and kissed the back of it. “Thanks, baby.”
I smiled and squeezed his hand as we pulled into the driveway of our first pick.
“It’s small,” I breathed out. “Smaller than it looks like online.”
“Yeah,” Otter agreed.
I sighed. “Let’s go look.”
* * *
“Baby, don’t spiral,” Otter said, as we climbed into my car after walking through the fourth house. We were on hour three of our outing and I was beginning to get discouraged.
“I can barely afford the ones we’ve seen, and they’re dumps.”
He turned his huge body to face me. “Do you trust me?”
“Why?”
“Because Rhett has one more house to show us, but it’s a little over your budget.”
I dropped my head to the headrest and closed my eyes. “Let’s just go home.”
Without a yes or a no response, he started the car and backed out of the driveway. I felt the car hit a small bump and opened my eyes to see we were pulling into a driveway of the cutest house on earth. One I’d earmarked as part of a wish list I’d never be able to afford.
It was a gorgeous white stucco home with huge dark blue shutters on all the windows and there was a pool. The circular driveway meant cars could come in and out easily and safely, even though the road was quiet.
“Easy, this is—”
“Just walk through it with me,” he interrupted.
“I can’t afford this.”
He wasn’t listening. He was already out of the car and walking to my side, pulling the door open and reaching his hand in. “Come with me.”
“Easy.”
“Baby, humor me.”
“I’m humoring you a lot lately,” I grumbled as I took his hand and let him pull me from the car.
We walked up the brick walkway to the double red doors
“Oh, my word, you two will love this house,” Rhett crooned as she opened the lockbox. “Four bedrooms, plus a den and a bonus room, four and a half bathrooms, a pool and a small pool house with a bathroom, forced air…”
I squeezed Otter’s hand as Rhett continued to prattle on, my feet unable to move past the adorable checkered tile foyer. “Otter, this place—”
“Fuckin’ rocks,” he whispered.
“Hardwood floors throughout,” Rhett continued. “Except the foyer, as you can see. The kitchen could use a little work…”
We followed her through the house and my heart dropped as we hit the kitchen. “Gut job,” I rasped.
“Yeah, but that’ll be easy,” Otter said.
“How will it be easy, Otter?” I countered. “We’re adding another fifty-thousand or so to the bill.”
“I’m sure we can negotiate,” Rhett said.
“It’s way out of my budget as it is,” I said. “Regardless of negotiation.”
“Rhett, can you give us a minute?” Otter asked, and the agent nodded and walked away. Otter faced me and settled his hands on my shoulders. “Do you love it?”
“It’s not relevant.”
“Baby. Do. You. Love. It?”
I bit my lip. “So, so much.”
“Right, we’re gettin’ it.”
“Otter, I can’t afford it.”
“But we can.”
I rolled my eyes. “You did this on purpose. You knew I wouldn’t be able to resist.”
He grinned. “I will neither confirm nor deny.”
I gripped his cut. “I swear to God if you break my heart, I’ll sic my brother on you.”
He dropped his head back and laughed. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Are we still going to be able to afford it after we renovate the kitchen?” I whispered. “It’ll need to be gutted, Easy.”
“Did I never mention that Doom’s dad’s a contractor?”
“No, you never mentioned that.”
“We got this, baby. Trust me.”
I sighed. “I’m pretty sure I should be logical right now, but I’m too blinded by that pool.”
He grinned. “Think about our kids in the summer.”
“Oh my god, Easy, stop.”
He chuckled. “Come on, let’s go make a deal.”
“Okay.” I sighed and let him lead me into the dining room where Rhett, and my fate, were waiting.
* * *
Something tickled me between my shoulder blades, and I forced my sleepy eyes open. “I really hope that isn’t Sneezles running his paw between my legs.”
“Okay, that’s just disgusting,” Otter rasped, kissing the nape of my neck, his hand slipping further between my thighs.
I chuckled, squeezing my eyes shut again and grinding down on his hand. “Is this my wake-up call?”
“Sure.” He slid his thumb inside of me and I arched against him. “How would you like it?”
“Hard and dirty,” I rasped.r />
“Panties off, then on your knees,” he ordered, his thumb slipping out of me.
I didn’t hesitate, shrugging off my already soaked panties and dropping them on the floor, then shifting onto all-fours.
He positioned himself behind me, slapping my ass, then pressing his dick against my opening. “Hard?”
“So, hard,” I begged, leaning back against him.
He pushed into me slowly, then gripped my hips and slid out, rewarding me with his dick buried deep. I whimpered with need, and then he slammed into me over and over again and I screamed his name as I came, my pussy contracting around him.
He wasn’t far behind, grunting as he pulsed inside of me, rolling us onto our sides in spoon fashion, kissing the back of my neck.
“Good morning,” I said with a grin, trying to catch my breath.
He kissed my shoulder. “Did you sleep okay?”
“Surprisingly, yes. It hasn’t sunk in that I put an offer on a house yesterday. Why?”
“You’re gonna get your first lesson today.”
I craned my neck to look at him. “In what?”
He grinned. “You’re gonna learn how to defend yourself.”
“I was kind of joking when I said that.”
“It’s a good idea. Just in case,” he said, sliding off the bed, and heading into the bathroom.
We freshened up a bit, then Otter led me downstairs and into their ‘gym’ area. It was really just an outside shop area that they’d thrown some weights and a treadmill in to work out.
“There are three places a fight can take place. On your feet, on the ground, and in your head. Use this first.” Otter gently tapped my forehead. “Get a read on your surroundings. Is there anything nearby that can be used as a weapon? Try to assess your opponent’s weak spots as quickly as possible. Go for the knees, eyes, nose, and the groin first.”
“You said the guy that punched you in the groin was a ‘little bitch.’”
“He is. But if someone comes at you, I want you to fight as dirty as possible. You understand?”
I nodded.
“Okay, let’s start with a few escapes. I want you to get good at slipping someone should they grab you.”
“Then you’ll show me how to punch people?” I asked, throwing a few punches in the air.
Otter smiled wide. “Yes, but not like that,” he said, lowering my hands gently.
